P.s: Their name, an archaic way of saying “Meadows of Asphodel“, refers to the belief that the plains of Hades are filled with the Asphodel flower.
music is a bit strange. black metal with middle eastern influences, both lyrical and musical!
in some song about hassan i sabbah (in Assassins of Allah) and even Koran (in this track) and azan (adhan in Jihad: the grizly din of killing steel)
and modern Israel-Palestine conflict, September 11…
the vocal is very unique, in a way  you have never heard before. their faces is rarely seen.

About the song: in the middle of the song some verses of koran is read by the metatron.
” then kill the Mushrikûn … wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush... fight in the cause of allah…”
I don’t beleive in islam but just some part of a text for people who probably don’t have the access to complete text is not a good way to conclude.
although i think  the meads of asphodel have studied Isalm and other religion  and one of their greatest motivations  for music and lyric is “killin in the name of god” through history and what I think is modern Crusade war, Terrorism.
